Brand Development Exercise (Clover Lanes Bowling Center)

Continuing on Meta Description and Demographic, this project explores the use of typeface, colour and pattern in relation to describing and establishing a demographic.

After testing different combinations of colours and words, the colour orange and the word vintage were used to represent the Generation X demographic. ‘Vintage’ relates back to meta descriptions read on the internet, while orange stands for enthusiasm and determination. You can appreciate vintage anywhere, for the mere fact that it still exists and because rare finds are worth time and work (think furniture restoration @ Mid-Century Modern Home, River Market, New Westminster, BC). This typeface reminded me of discotheques.
